2019.03 Release Notes

The Managed Services Platform 2019.03 release includes a number of new features, performance improvements, and bug fixes.

New Features and Updates

  • New interactive reporting capabilities for Network Security Test – Standard (NST-S): NST-S was introduced in the 2019.02 MSP release and customers were able to schedule assessments and gain access to findings through static reports. In the 2019.03 release, we introduced interactive reports where clients have the flexibility to drill down into their report findings.

Customers can now perform the following tasks:

    • Navigate to a report dashboard where they access a graphical representation of their NST vulnerability distribution and other statistics
    • Evaluate the details of each vulnerability
    • Review screenshots
    • New retest option available for NST-S: Customers can schedule re-tests for their completed scans to check the remediation status of the found vulnerabilities.
    • Adding Common Weakness Enumeration(CWE) to all Managed Service reports: Having CWEs included within reports allows customers to gain visibility into where their vulnerabilities fall within the industry standard classification of software weaknesses. This benefits customers who utilize the standard Synopsys reporting template (such as the PDF report).
    • Enhancements to the public API: Clients, who are using the MSP public API to schedule scans, can now utilize the template scheduling feature that is available within Managed Services Platform. This simplifies the scheduling of scans when clients use our API.
